I agree with your article. Internet nowadays are one of the most effective way to market aside from media exposure such as tv commercials. Internet marketing is much cheaper than tv ads.

I'm designing a database schema that will track two levels of commissions... the first level earns a commission on their sales, then, they earn a smaller commission on the sales of those that they brought in...

User1 sells to User2 ... User1 makes a commission.
User2 selles to User3 ... User1 makes a small commission, User2 makes a commission. ... and so on. Two levels deep.

Can I pick your brains for a logical and clean solution?

You can look at several real time solutions to transfer contacts and data. Check Talend Integration Suite: its a data integration program able to help you. It just depends on the type of software you would like to use.
You could be using a standard data integration solution.

hi, my website login system sets a cookie for the user, containing its user name, and makes it last 3600 seconds or 3600*100 if remember me is checked.
it lasts while im browsing my pages, but when i close the navigator, and open again, it wont work, i'll have to login again, and when i check my navigator's cookies, the one that my website created is still there.
what can be the problem?

I think the "PHP 4 Bible" was the best book I found when I was learning, and the one I learned from.PHP.net is a great reference as well. I hit that all the time when i am programming.

$sentOk = mail($to,$subject,$message,$headers);
It is working well. I tested.

Hi!.

I'm trying to get a connection from a Java application to a MySQL database. When I execute the method getConnection(url, user, pass) this is what I get:

com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Table 'mysql.user_objects' doesn't exist

I have executed the perl script called mysql_install_db with the result:

C:\Archivos de programa\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1>perl scripts/mysql_install_db.pl

To start mysqld at boot time you have to copy
support-files/mysql.server to the right place for your system

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SET A PASSWORD FOR THE MySQL root USER !
To do so, start the server, then issue the following commands:

C:/Archivos de programa/MySQL/MySQL Server 5.1//bin/mysqladmin -u root passwor
d 'new-password'
C:/Archivos de programa/MySQL/MySQL Server 5.1//bin/mysqladmin -u root -h Aiqu
e password 'new-password'

Alternatively you can run:

C:/Archivos de programa/MySQL/MySQL Server 5.1//bin/mysql_secure_installation

which will also give you the option of removing the test
databases and anonymous user created by default. This is
strongly recommended for production servers.

See the manual for more instructions.

You can start the MySQL daemon with:

cd C:/Archivos de programa/MySql/MySQL Server 5.1 ; C:/Archivos de programa/My
SQL/MySQL Server 5.1//bin/mysqld_safe &

You can test the MySQL daemon with mysql-test-run.pl

cd mysql-test ; perl mysql-test-run.pl

Please report any problems with the C:/Archivos de programa/MySql/MySQL Server 5
