There are so many books available of PHP.I have seen your link.Its a very nice list of book in your link.I have preferred Visual Quickstart Guide: PHP by Ullman and Larry.Its a very best book in all the PHP book.

Yes you can learn PHP properly from this books as it's complete guide.

PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor is a widely used general-purpose scripting language, originally designed for Web development, production and dynamic pages. Today php is widely used for genral-purpose scripting language so i think php books are also widely using. I have available many sites of php books. Sometimes i also used it.
