I have been following the PEAR install instructions for a shared host. And am having a hell of a time. I created the folders. One in the web root to put the go-pear file in. And that is not web accessable. home/pear/ chmod it to 0777. And ran go-pear.php. I get a 500 Internal Server Error. I don't know why.
